About Power Towers

Power Towers is a number-sense and logic game about comparing exponential stacks. You see two "towers" of exponents · like 5511 and 22242 · and your job is to judge which one represents the larger value.

How to compare power towers. The secret is that the top of the tower matters far more than the base. A small increase high up in the stack creates a far larger number than a large increase at the bottom. The comparison often comes down to reducing the towers using logarithmic rules: ab vs cd can be compared as b·log(a) vs d·log(c).

What it trains. Beyond simple calculation, Power Towers trains your intuition for exponential growth and the properties of logarithms. It forces you to think about the relative impact of different parts of a mathematical expression, a key skill in higher mathematics, computer science, and complex systems analysis.

Deterministic and fair. Every round is generated from a seed, so the same difficulty always produces reproducible comparisons. The printable worksheet's answer key matches the live game byte-for-byte.
