Preschoolers (4–5)

Sorting, matching, and the first hint of "which one does not belong."

Pre-K cognition takes a leap from "match" to "categorise." The game that asks "which one is different" is the first formal abstraction kids meet, and the early version of every IQ test that comes after.

Why these games

Memory Game adds vocabulary at the same time it trains attention · double-duty. Odd One Out is the categorical-reasoning drill · the same skill that, formalised, turns into early science.
