How do I play Read Upside Down?

A word appears rotated 180 degrees and you pick the upright spelling that matches it · or, in the flipped mode, the word is upright and you pick the rotated rendering. One wrong answer ends the streak.

Why do the wrong answers look so convincing?

Several lowercase letters rotate into other letters · u reads as n, b as q, d as p, m as w. The distractors are ranked by how closely they read as the rotated word, so the trap IS the game.

What does reading upside down train?

Mental rotation and letter-level attention. Rotated text defeats automatic word recognition, forcing effortful glyph-by-glyph decoding · the canonical perceptual-learning task in mirror-reading research.

Is there a time limit?

Only at the top difficulties, where a short per-round countdown (10 seconds shrinking to 5) adds time pressure. Below that you can take as long as you like.
