About Shape Slicer
Shape Slicer trains geometric and spatial intuition in two and three dimensions. A cut line sweeps across a 2D shape. A horizontal plane sweeps through a 3D solid. Stop the sweep at the target fraction.
2D shape slice. Watch a vertical line sweep across polygons such as triangles and hexagons. Stop the line where it cuts off half, one third, or three quarters of the total area. You can also test area scale, perimeter scale, turn angle, and width.
3D volume slice. Watch an isometric plane slice through solids such as cubes, cylinders, cones, and pyramids. Stop the plane where it cuts off the target fraction of total volume. The top half of a cone holds only one eighth of the volume. The bottom half holds seven eighths. This mode teaches cubic volume distribution.

How do I play Shape Slicer?
A line or plane moves across a shape or solid at a steady speed. The prompt asks for a fraction of area or volume. Tap the board to stop the line there. A close stop wins the round. -
What is the difference between 2D and 3D mode?
In 2D mode, you slice flat polygons and estimate area. In 3D mode, you slice solids and estimate volume. This trains three-dimensional spatial intuition. -
Why does half volume in a cone sit so low?
Volume scales with the cube of linear dimensions. The upper half of a cone holds one eighth of total volume. The bottom half holds seven eighths. -
Can I choose to play only 2D or only 3D?
Yes. Open the Settings panel. Select 2D Shapes or 3D Volumes to practice one dimension. -
How accurate does the stop need to be?
The game gives a tolerance band around the exact answer. The band narrows at advanced tiers. Each round stays fair across all shapes and solids. -
Does Shape Slicer work offline?
Yes. Shape Slicer is part of the PlayMemorize Progressive Web App. Install once and practice without an internet connection. -
