Find the rotated match among the options.
PlayMemorize Spatial is a free mental rotation game. You see a reference shape (a polyomino) and must identify which of the answer options is a rotation of it, not a mirror image. This trains spatial reasoning, one of the core components of fluid intelligence.
Progressive complexity. Early rounds use simple 4-cell shapes in one color. As your streak grows, shapes grow to 7 cells, gain multiple colors, and the number of answer options increases. Colors follow their cells through rotation, adding another dimension to track.
Carefully crafted distractors. Wrong answers are mirror reflections and rotated mirrors of the reference shape, not random shapes. This forces true mental rotation rather than elimination by visual dissimilarity.

Q: What is mental rotation?
Mental rotation is the ability to imagine how an object looks when rotated in space. It is a core spatial reasoning skill tested in IQ assessments and strongly associated with success in STEM fields.
Q: Is the Spatial game free?
Yes, completely free. No account, no ads. Your high score is saved locally in your browser.
Q: How does difficulty increase?
Shape complexity grows from 4 to 7 cells. Colors increase from 1 to 3 (colors must be tracked through rotation). Answer options increase from 4 to 5. All shapes are guaranteed to be asymmetric so mirroring always produces a different shape.
Q: What makes the distractors challenging?
Distractors are mirror reflections of the reference shape, rotated to various angles. Since mirrors look very similar to rotations, you must perform true mental rotation to distinguish them.
