What is Name the Shape?

A geometry-vocabulary game: a shape is drawn and you choose its correct name from a few options, building a streak as you go.

Everyday shapes like circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval and star, plus polygons named by their sides · pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon · and the rhombus and trapezoid.

Is it good for young children?

Yes. The easy rounds use the basic shapes most children learn first, and there is no reading of the question · just look at the shape and tap its name. The shape names are translated into every supported language.

How does it get harder?

Higher difficulty brings in the less common shapes and adds more name choices, so a hexagon is no longer an easy guess between three obvious options.
