What is Where on the Map?

A spatial-memory game: you start at a house on a grid map and follow short directions like "3 north, 2 east" to reach one of the places shown. Pick the place the steps lead to. One wrong answer ends the streak, and your best score is saved locally in your browser.

How do the directions work?

North is the top of the map, south the bottom, east the right and west the left · the same as the four arrows. Each direction comes with a number of steps. Trace them one leg at a time from the house to find the destination cell.

How do I make it harder?

Pick a tier. Easy is a 5×5 map with two direction legs, medium and hard widen the map and add more legs to follow, so you have to hold a longer route in mind.

Do I need to read any language to play?

Barely · the places are emoji and the directions show as arrows with numbers, so the game works the same in every language. The direction words are translated into all 25 languages as a helper.
