What is Match the Number?

A visual maths game: a picture shows a quantity · scattered objects, a filled ten-frame, or a partly shaded shape · and you pick the number (or fraction) that matches it, building a streak as you go.

A ten-frame is a two-by-five grid used in early maths teaching. Filled cells make quantities up to ten (or twenty, with two frames) readable as structure instead of one-by-one counting · you see "a full row of five and two more" rather than seven separate things.

How do the fraction rounds work?

A bar or a disc is divided into equal parts and some parts are shaded. You pick the fraction that matches, like 3/4. Only proper fractions with equal partitions appear, and no two options ever share the same value, so exactly one answer is right.

How does it get harder?

Higher difficulty moves from loose scattered objects to grouped rows, ten-frames, and finally fractions, while the counts grow toward twenty, fraction splits get finer, and more numeric options sit closer to the right answer.
