How does colour mixing work here?

It uses subtractive mixing · the way paint and pigment blend. Red and blue make purple, blue and yellow make green, red and yellow make orange. This is the opposite of mixing coloured light on a screen.

Do I need to read to play?

No. The things being mixed and the answer choices are all pictures, so the game plays exactly the same in every language · good for young children.

What about mixing feelings, materials and more?

The Emotions game already covers combining feelings (Plutchik's wheel). Mixing focuses on colours and kitchen transformations, with room to grow into more "A + B = C" themes over time.
