About Circuit Assembly

Circuit Assembly shows a classic beginner circuit, drawn with standard schematic symbols and one or more components taken out. Drag each loose symbol home.

The circuits are a torch, an LED driver, a voltage divider, an RC filter, a doorbell and a two-transistor flasher.

The symbols follow the standard vocabulary of IEC 60617 / ANSI-IEEE Std 315, and each circuit cites the canonical source of its topology · from Forrest M. Mims III’s Getting Started in Electronics to Horowitz & Hill’s The Art of Electronics. The reveal shows the citation, so every round doubles as a tiny electronics lesson.

Every round is generated deterministically from a seed. Runs entirely in your browser and works offline as a Progressive Web App.

FAQ

  • Do I need to know electronics to play?

No. The dashed gap shows where the missing component sits, and shape-matching alone can carry you at first · but you will quickly start recognising the real symbols: battery, resistor, capacitor, LED, switch, transistor.
  • Which symbol standard do the drawings use?

The component symbols follow the standard schematic vocabulary (IEC 60617 and ANSI-IEEE Std 315 · e.g. the zigzag resistor, plate-pair capacitor, circle-and-cross lamp), and every circuit cites the classic text its topology comes from.
  • Are these real circuits?

Yes · each is a canonical beginner circuit (series lamp loop, LED with series resistor, voltage divider, RC low-pass filter, buzzer call circuit, astable flasher) that appears in every introductory electronics text.
  • Can MemPi help me study and practice this game?

Yes! Click MemPi in the header or on the game board to summon him. He observes the board, thinks out loud, and can demonstrate moves or guide you through tricky steps.
