About Shape Assembly
Shape Assembly shows a classic geometric solid · cube, pyramid, prism, octahedron · drawn in the standard isometric view with one or more faces taken out. Your job is to drag the detached piece into it.
The solids are the classical figures of Euclid’s Elements (c. 300 BC), and every round’s reveal cites the definition or proposition that constructs the solid you just repaired. Matching a detached face to its place trains mental rotation and the reading of 3-D structure from a flat drawing.
Every round is generated deterministically from a seed. Runs entirely in your browser and works offline as a Progressive Web App.
FAQ
-
What am I supposed to do in Shape Assembly?
One or more faces of the drawn solid are missing. Drag each detached piece from the tray onto the place it belongs. On the easy levels every gap is marked with a dashed outline; from medium up the drawing shows nothing and you have to read it. -
Where do the shapes come from?
They are the classical solids of Euclid’s Elements (c. 300 BC): the cube, pyramid, prisms and octahedron. The reveal after each answer cites the exact definition or proposition. -
What skill does this train?
Spatial reasoning: reading a 3-D structure from a 2-D drawing, mentally rotating a detached face, and matching shape, orientation and proportion · the same skills technical drawings and geometry lessons build on. -
