About PlayMemorize Billiard Angle

Aim the cue ball, predict cushion bank bounces, and master cut angles to sink the target ball

Billiard Angle is an interactive spatial reasoning mini-game about reflection geometry and collision mechanics. You see a top-down billiard table with a cue ball, a target ball, and obstacle balls. Your objective is to line up the cue ball angle to sink the target ball into the designated pocket.

Physics and Laser Guidance. The game prioritizes the laser bounce structure and angle estimation over 3D physics simulation. When you adjust your aim, a live laser ray traces forward from the cue ball, reflecting off cushions with specular symmetry where the angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection. When the ray strikes the target ball, it computes the exact cut angle along the line of centers to show where the object ball will travel.

Cushion Bank Shots. As difficulty increases, obstacle balls block direct shots. You must bank the cue ball off one or more cushions to thread the needle and pocket the ball. Strike with confidence once you find the right geometry.

FAQ

  • What does Billiard Angle train?

It trains spatial reasoning, reflection symmetry, angle estimation, and collision trajectory prediction.
  • How do I aim the shot?

You can drag or click directly on the table, use the fine-tune angle buttons (-1° or +1°), or adjust the slider at the bottom.
  • What is a cut angle in billiards?

The cut angle is the angle between the cue ball path and the line of centers at contact. The object ball always moves along the line of centers.
  • Can I bounce off the cushions?

Yes. Higher difficulty rounds need cushion bank shots to reach balls behind obstacles.
  • Can MemPi help me study and practice this game?

Yes! Click MemPi in the header or on the game board to summon him. He observes the board, thinks out loud, and can demonstrate moves or guide you through tricky steps.
