Accepted Answer

Press "Play melody" to hear the first notes of a famous tune. When it stops, tap the candidate tones to preview them, pick the one that continues the melody, and confirm. You can replay the opening as many times as you like.

Accepted Answer

A curated pool of more than forty public-domain melodies: nursery rhymes like Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and Frère Jacques, folk songs like Greensleeves and Auld Lang Syne, and classical themes like Ode to Joy, Für Elise, and Canon in D.

Do I need to know music theory?

Accepted Answer

No. If you can hum a nursery rhyme, you can play. The game only asks whether you can hear where a familiar tune goes next, and the pitch dots give you a visual hint of the melody's shape.

How does difficulty work?

Accepted Answer

Higher difficulty cuts the melody deeper · at later, less iconic notes · and moves the wrong answers closer to the right one: one or two semitones away instead of three or four. The number of candidate tones also grows as you climb.

Can I play without sound?

Accepted Answer

The heart of the game is listening, so sound on is best. But the pitch dots show each note's relative height, so you can follow the contour and play muted if you know the tune well.
